Waste Landfills are filling up everyday and are continuously growing, that eventually new sites are needed for waste to be sent to. Most of the waste sent to landfills can be recycled or reused.

So what can we do the reduce the landfills from over growing?

  • Recycle
  • Reuse
  • Use vegetable peelings etc. for soils, use as a fertiliser
  • On the streets, we mostly see the casual bins, so why don’t the Government introduce more recycling bins in public
  • Donate old clothes and unused or good conditioned object such as toys

These small actions can reduce the landfill size, so land can also be saved as well as wasting good conditioned objects.

What more can we do to reduce landfills from over growing?

My mum does this! She basically ‘harvested’ the spinach in the garden and whatever leaves were left over..she put them together and will apparently bury them in the garden so that the soil gets nutrients.
This was actually my idea😌 do you think it will work?
